Hello
My name is Raven, I am the owner of Mother of Dragons and the creator of many of the handmade items you see in the shop. I love to try my hand at all different crafts from Jewellery making to sculpting puppets and creating magical items. I am a practicing pagan and a witch so I always try to put a little magic into my items. I also put a lot of effort into sourcing products that have that magical feeling- times that can temporarily help to take you away from the stress of the world and add a little bit of magic to your every day.

My Story
Mother of Dragons began life back in 2017 when I started making cable puppets and selling them on Etsy. Since then it has grown to be an outlet for all of my artistic endeavours, not just the puppets. After selling online and having some space in a local garden centre I finally had the chance this year to move to the beautiful Cumbrian country side where I have opened my shop and craft studio on market Street in Kirkby Stephen. Sadly the current climate has not been kind and I had to make the difficult decision to close the physical shop in February 2024, but I am trying to keep going online.
